7 Things Healthy People Do Differently

These 7 things healthy people do differently than you.

If you want to quickly burn fat and always make proper nutritional choices, then use some of the following tips. It is important to stay healthy, eat moderately and eat a variety of foods.

1. Cholesterol

While experts advise that cholesterol is harmful for our body and that the recommended daily intake is 30 milligrams, latest research are contrary to these recommendation, showing us that there is little evidence that cholesterol from the food you consume stimulates the growth of blood fat.

It certainly does not mean that you should eat fatty foods on a daily basis, but have a regular and proper diet.

2. Sugar

The right nutrition guide reveals that daily intake of calories from sugar should be at 10 percent max, of the total calories consumed throughout the day. This means that if you enter 2,000 calories a day, you should not enter more than 200 calories through sugar. The good thing is that this recommended amount does not include fruit and dairy products because sugar in them is natural and not harmful.

3. Saturated and trans fats

It is very important the type of fat you consume. The bad saturated fat found in butter and chicken skin should be limited to less than 10 percent of total daily intake of calories. On the other hand, you should increase your intake of good fats through avocados, olive oil and nuts.

4. Sodium

The daily consumption of sodium should be limited to less than 2,300 milligrams (roughly, a teaspoon of salt).

5. Alcohol

Alcohol can be part of a healthy diet, but only when consumed in small amounts, meaning that you can drink up to two drinks a day. One drink can be 355 ml (11 fl oz) beer, 148 ml (5 fl oz) wine or 45 ml (1.5 fl oz) vodka or rum.

6. Caffeine

Much like alcohol, caffeine can be part of a healthy diet, but you should not drink more than 2 cups a day. If you don’t drink coffee, then there is no reason to start now.

7. Healthy diet is different to each individual

You don’t have to choose the same type of protein, or eat the same kind of vegetables. What you choose to eat is based on the products you want or do not want to eat, the culture, tradition, religion, financial status and availability of some products can be a problem. It is important to stay healthy and consume various products from different groups: grains, fruits, vegetables, protein (such as lean meat, seafood, peas, beans, nuts …), low in fat dairy products and healthy fat.
