Doctors urging people over 40 to stop taking Ibuprofen immediately, here’s why!
Doctors are advising that anyone over the age of 40 to stop taking the most commonly used pain relievers.
Ibuprofen is the one pain reliever out there that doctors are so quick to urge and here is why! Doctors have been warning that the risks of consuming ibuprofen might do more harm than less.
Ibuprofen can temporarily ease headache pains, but is it worth the risk of developing heart disease?
In 2005, the FDA issued a warning stating that Ibuprofen can significantly increase your chance of developing the heart problem. Even with short term use, a person risk for a heart attack or stroke rises.
The FDA said:
“This risk increases the longer one continues to use ibuprofen for pain relief. You do not need to have an existing heart condition to be at risk, although such a condition does increase your chances. These risks make ibuprofen especially dangerous to individuals over 40 – the age at which one’s risk of heart disease begins to skyrocket.”
Ibuprofen is found to increase the chance of a heart attack by 20%.
This health warning has come from the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) after an analysis involving 10 million patients, was published in The British Medical Journal.
NSAIDS are a drug class that groups drugs together that give off antipyretic and analgesic effects.
A chance of a heart attack is quite a price to pay for, for temporary relief from a headache.
There are a plethora of natural ingredients that are out there to alleviate pain just as the top-selling NSAID does. You will get benefits when skipping out on these drugs and their awful side effects.
