Home Remedies for Tooth Decay and Cavities

Tooth decay and cavities have become a pretty common problem in today’s society. They can be treated, but the problem is that you’ll need a trip to the dentist, which we all hate.

If you’re one of those who fears the dentist, you shouldn’t worry no more. Below you can see a few simple remedies for tooth decay and cavities which will resolve the problem quickly or at least reduce the pain until you gather the courage to visit a dentist.



  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon xylitol
  • 1 tablespoon neem powder
  • 15 drops of peppermint oil


Mix everything in a bowl, then keep the mixture in a jar. Use it to brush your teeth as usual at least 3 times a day. The ingredients should soothe the pain in your tooth and accelerate the healing process, and the toothpaste works great against gum disease as well.



  • A cup of fresh mint
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ cup rosemary


Boil the water and add the rosemary sprigs, then proceed with the mint after a couple of minutes. Let the mixture cool down, then strain it and use it as a mouth rinse.



  • A cup of warm water
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil


Just add the coconut oil in the water, then use the mixture as a mouthwash twice every day.



  • A bit of coconut oil
  • 10 drops tea tree oil
  • 4 drops clove oil


Mix the tea tree and clove oil first, then add the coconut oil and brush your teeth with it. This mixture will destroy all the bacteria in your oral cavity and prevent bad breath, gingivitis and tooth decay as well. Repeat the process 3 times a day and you should notice the results in 2-3 weeks.
